Instant Tau Foo Fa

Still pretty much awake and alive after the Kent's posting... let's talk about food. Got this instant tau foo fa from a china fren (yes, a female lah...) Haven't seen anything like this locally, or is it just me?

I thought it would tastes nice...

Instructions says you can only stir it one-way and only for 6-seconds

Ready to serve, i had it and went straight to the loo the next morning, damn!!

Kent Evolve

Alright, this event is so last month... Haven't had the chance to write about anything for weeks...

Nothing much, Kent is back finally with events, exclusive and by invitation only event at least. Managed to get myself passes for two online, guess what they hand delivered the passes via courier service to your doorstep... Cool... And being held at a very unusual venue too, a car showroom... Unique I would say.

ambiance was pretty nice, ciggy promoters were amazing with the luvrrrly outfit (white coloured ass-tight type which you can unzip their pants from the back) other than that, nothing worth mentioning about, oh yea... Not forgetting the free-flow of alcohols :)

She's from BAT

Oh yea, last but not least, they launched a new limited edition packaging (again) for 961.

Nasty Week for a friend and GF

Incident No. 1
Victim: V-Keong
Venue: North South Highway, approaching Alor Gajah (south bound)
No. of passenger on board: 4 excl. driver/pilot
Date: 14 Nov 2005
Time: Around 7am
Description:
He was on his way back to Melaka for attending lecture class (to become a pilot) suddenly a lorry on the left (slow lane where heavy vehicle is supposed to be at) swerved out to the right lane at crawling speed which caused him to hit the brake hard to avoid going underneath the motherfucking lorry driven by a retarded idiot. While his car brake-skidded to almost hitting the center divider he then released the pedal and turn into the left lane, however there was another even slow truck cruising on that lane... (you must be thinking WTF! right?) He had no choice but to hit the brake and swerve to the left this time otherwise he'll be underneath that truck and again the wheels locked and starts to skid again towards the left divider where he finally lost control rub against the divider.

Verdict:
He couldn't helped but want to appear my blog again.... sigh :( Just want him to know I'm not in the greatest mood to write about something like this but thank god he's okay. Vehicle equipped with ABS (Anti-lock braking system) could have prevented this from happening.

Incident No. 2
Victim: My GF
Venue: Lorong Jujur 1/6, Taman Cempaka, KL
Date: 16 Nov 2005
Time: approx. 8pm
Injuries: Bruised shoulder, knee and waist
Item lost: Mobile phone, identity card, ATM card, credit card, driving license, passport, house keys, cash approx RM275
Description:
My GF got snatched!!! Pardon me, I mean she became a snatch theft victim. It all happened within that 3 seconds when she was coming out from the rear passenger seat to the front passenger seat, a bike with a pillion rider (both malay or indon) came from the middle of nowhere and tried to grab her sling bag when zooming pass her, the first attempt failed then pillion rider immediately use a pen knife to cut the strap loose, it happened so fast that when I jumped out from the car, she was already fell onto the road and they were gone.

Verdict:
I hope those motherfucking thieves crushed by multiple 18-wheeler trucks while trying to speed off and die on the spot with their face smashed beyond recognition and their families in their hometown got blasted by suicide bombers. Lesson learnt - I will not park my car with passengers side facing the outer side of the road anymore.

Daring Guarantee by Projet

Stumbled upon this when i was browsing the hitz.fm website. The tiny words reads like this "In the unlikely event that your vehicle develops a problem caused by using ProJET Enertec fuel, we will pay for all necessary repairs"

Unlike some other brand, tons of advertisments on TV and promoting their so-called better mileage formula that actually suck up more fuel than it should, and I'm sure I'm not the only saying this but nevertheless I still use it once in a while... What to do??!! They've got Bonuslink mah...

For more info, check out Projet website at http://projet.com.my/enertec.php

New Facelifted Sentra Spotted

Spotted these soon to be launched new face lifted Nissan Sentra at Sungkai while on my way to Cameron Highlands, the drivers happened to stop at the same restaurant to have their lunch and I managed to took a few pictures.

Most obvious changes are the front head lights as well as the rear ones, side mirrors with integrated indication light. The model i spotted comes with bodykit and spoiler (not sure if that comes as standard but it looks pretty much so) The gear stick looks different from the current Gun-Grip style and looks sportier with some chrome material on it, not sure if they're the same though.

Travelogue: Jakarta

Travel Date: 31-Aug-2005 to 4-Sep-2005
Accommodation: Shangri-La Jakarta
Cash on Hand: Half a million++ (rupiah lah)

Touching down on a landing strip where there isn't a single high rise building in sight even from the sky above, I said to myself, this CAN'T be Jakarta, right!!? I was correct indeed, they landed in an air force base in Bandung - a town which is 2 hours drive away from Jakarta. The plane stopped for about 20mins before departing to Jakarta again.

Okay, I'm going to cut the 5 days into bullet points and some photos instead of telling you stories, I guess there isn't that much to tell either, afterall it's ViperVR's LAZY BLOG what!!

  • Sin items are cheap over there, perhaps they're consider as saint items (cigarettes and alcohol beverages) to me. 2 packs of 20's Malboro cost less than 1 pack of the same size here in Malaysia bolehland; Alcohol beverages are more or less like the duty-free price over here.

  • Security checkpoints are everywhere: hotels, business centres, commercial towers, shopping centres, you name it. Everywhere you go, you'll see security guards probing vehicles, checking trunk and undercarriage; Metal detectors are being use by security guards at premises' entrance and lobby to deter suicide bombers, kinda SCARY!

  • Traffic is crazy over there, one way streets become two way; Emergency lanes are designed to be abused where two lanes highway with emergency lane can become 4 lanes expressway and if you think KL drivers are bad enough on Federal Highway they're still long way to learn from those Indonesian drivers, especially taxi drivers; cab drivers can stop the car halfway driving the car and shift into reverse gear and make the turn that they've just missed, simply AMAZING!

  • Forget about free WiFi at Starbucks in Jakarta, cause there isn't any, everywhere is fee-based (pre-paid cards)

  • People over there like to protest over issues (perhaps they got nothing better to do); witnessed two protest events in the city over the 5 days vacation.

  • People there might be worshiping their handphones, maybe it's the most valuable thing in their life? I don't know but a six stories shopping centre (as big as Low Yat Plaza in KL) where 90% of the outlets are selling cellular phones, you tell me... It's a little crazy and very competitive business. (ITC Roxy Mas Shopping Centre)
Enough with text, now some photos that I snapped over there:

The most beautiful high rise building in Jakarta

It looks like a shark with its mouth glowing with blue neon light during night time

Hey, we haven't seen anything like this over here

Err... I forgot what they called this statue

Blue Bird Group taxi, trust me this is the only cab you want to board whatever car it may be (Toyota Soluna, Toyota Vios, Toyota Crown and etc just make sure they're Blue Bird Group)

How come we don't have this in Bolehland??? I tell you man, they taste REAL GOOD!

This is how they make good use of the Plasma TVs in Plaza Indonesia a.k.a Plaza EX. There are a few more units on the floor near the entrance too.

Yea, stack them... Stack them high!
Well, I guess that's about it, feel free to comment.

So Much for the National Day

I've been blogging about car crashes, road accidents and perhaps it's time for personal injury, yes... finally I'm seeing red in the year 2005...... blood that is!

Got this scratch in my routine tuesday fustal after chasing for an open goal which ended up a NO GOAL because I fell by not even touching the ball!!! Gosh, guess I'm lame at sports anyway!! haha!!

I couldn't even stand up straight while taking my shower after the game, imagine the fresh wound touches the water, and you don't need scientist to tell you how I feel when cleaning it with antiseptic germicide, OOOUCH!!! Nevertheless, I've gotta stand up in spite of the pain that i'm enduring to prove my patriotism for the nation and by shouting Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka.

Ha ha ha, yeeaaaaaah right!

Smoking and Lung Cancer: What You Need To Know

If you quit smoking can you reduce or eliminate your risk of tobacco-related lung cancer, or is the damage permanent?

You can always reduce your risk if you quit smoking. If you're 50 years old and you've been a lifelong smoker and you quit smoking today, you reduce your risk by half. If you're 30 years old and a lifelong smoker, you can almost completely eliminate your risk of lung cancer by quitting.

There's some increased risk compared to the general population, if you have smoked. But, if you quit at the age of 30, it's almost a negligible increased risk.

If you've never been a smoker and you develop lung cancer, how did you get it? Is it genetics, environment, radon, luck of the draw?

There are two likely reasons. One, for whatever reason, you were born genetically predisposed to getting cancer. You have something in your cells that activated and started producing a tumor. That's probably one of the most likely reasons.

Then, there's the idea of environmental exposure, especially radon. Radon is the second leading risk factor for lung cancer in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that comes from the Earth's soil. In fact, one in 15 homes have levels of radon that are considered too high. So home inspectors recommend that you get radon levels checked before buying new property, or to get radon sensors for the house.

But smoking is far and away the number one risk factor. About 80% of people who have lung cancer were smokers. You get a sense of the magnitude there.

Is there a difference between smoking-related lung cancer and non-smoking-related lung cancer?

It appears that the biggest difference is that people who are not smokers tend to do better overall. Their prognosis is better overall than people who have smoking-related lung cancer. But that probably has more to do with the fact that people who are not smoking are, overall, more fit. So they respond better to treatment. It may not have anything to do with the biology of the cancer; it just has to do with the physiology of the person.

Are certain types of lung cancer more treatable than others? What's the general survival rate?

If you catch a lung cancer early — a Stage 1 cancer — it's going to be more treatable than an advanced lung cancer. If you have a cancer that can be operated, that can be removed, you have a very good chance, a better chance than not, of being able to be cured. But the problem is that most people who go to doctor with some sort of symptom already have advanced lung cancer, so it's too late.

Survival rates for all lung cancer: in the first year, six out of 10 people will be dead. By the second year, eight out of 10 people will be dead. By five years, only 15% of people will survive.

When you talk about cancer in general, there are good screening programs, like mammograms for breast cancer or colonoscopies for colon cancer. With lung cancer, there is no generally accepted screening test today. We have 100 million former or current smokers in the United States right now and a lot of them, obviously, are considered at risk for lung cancer. But we haven't agreed on a way to screen all these people. We haven't come up with a reliable program. CT scans are too expensive. And should everyone be exposed to CT scans? That's still being figured out.

Are there differences between men and women in terms of susceptibility? Are there high-risk age groups?

A quickly growing population of people with lung cancer appears to be nonsmoking women. While men still have a greater number of overall lung cancer cases, nonsmoking women are much more likely than nonsmoking men to develop cancer. We don't know why that is, but we think it might have to do with changes in hormones. Women may be more likely to develop cancer because of hormonal changes. In terms of environmental exposure, if radon is in fact a culprit in the home and more women are at home than men, that could be part of the answer.

Most people are diagnosed at 50 or older. If you're diagnosed younger, it could mean that doctors caught the cancer earlier, which might mean that you have a very early stage cancer and were lucky to catch it. But it could also mean that if it's already advanced at such a young age, your prognosis may be even poorer than the prognosis for the general population.

I (eye) Witness

We know who this is!!

It was a beautiful sunday morning when i witnessed this. I was on my way back from a house party the night before when this happen. Below are the shots i taken at the scene, the male japanese driver suffered minor injuries on his hand and unfortunately i wasn't sober enough to help, so i asked this indian guy to call for paramedics and the police which I then fled the scene... :P

Caught these photos while being a kay-po (busybody) passerby which happened at Jalan Ipoh, this car happened to ram into a tree on the traffic island and the driver were seriously injured.

Microsoft Genuine Advantage Hacked in 24 Hours

window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all'

This week, Microsoft started requiring users to verifiy their serial number before using Windows Update. This effort to force users to either buy XP or tell them where you got the illegal copy is called 'Genuine Advantage.' It was cracked within 24 hours.

Before pressing 'Custom' or 'Express' buttons paste this text to the address bar and press enter:
javascript:void(window.g_sDisableWGACheck='all')

It turns off the trigger for the key check.

This is how you should named your BMW M3 "AEM111"

"W1" belongs to a Porsche (sorry about the image clarity)
Update: W1 is now belongs to a New silver color Mercedes SLK

It was a beautiful morning when i spotted "PAG1" in TTDI.

Traffic is now under public surveillance

Guys and gals... think twice the next time if you decided to park your car indiscriminately because you might be ended up at www.panducermat.org.my 's Hall of Shame which the public can snap the way you park and upload it to the web and voila! Same goes if you like to drive haphazardly, i.e. abusing emergency lane, beating traffic light and etc.

So, friendsss... you could be the next one!!! who knows, it could be me that will be uploading your pictures to that site :)

Talking about that I'll upload some pictures i have taken on the roads which involve accidents and etc.

Result of Ignorance

Wondering what is she (one of my housemate) doing there? Talking on the phone with the charger plugged to the socket on the wall?... Ahem! It's not ordinary wall but it's the socket at the lobby of the condo we're staying in instead...

Geezz... you should see her plug her laptop there as well in order to send out an email to her customers, not to mention pulling the phone extension cable all the way to the lobby too!! How could this be happening to us??!!

Well, ignorance to Tenaga's warning letter that we received about a week ago, plus the arrears amounting to more than RM700, go figure the consequences!
