Try this natural home-made recipe which has almonds and honey among its ingredients.The simple-to-brew drink is said to be more effective. And it costs a fraction of the blue pill.Women can also have it but be warned. This is really potent and it may cause you sleepless nights (wink, wink).

Recipe:200ml milk (fresh, UHT, anything)
6 almonds or 1 tablespoon ground almonds (skinned and pounded or ground – if you want a quick fix, then buy ground almonds from the store)
1 egg (preferably free range eggs or ayam kampung eggs – must be fresh)
1 tablespoon honey (Tualang honey is very good!)
Heat the milk up until it is warm. In a blender, blend all the ingredients together for a minute and ENJOY!

I had a server that had an annoying Dell logo that took forever to paint every time I logged in remotely, so I wanted to ditch it.

Use registry editor (regedit) and go to key HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop

Look for the string value Wallpaper under the Desktop key.

You can change the value to be any bitmap file, but in my case, I just deleted it.

If you do want to just change the wallpaper, then you will also want to find the key WallpaperStyle - you may have to create it. Set the string to 0 (zero) to display the wallpaper bitmap centered; a value of 1 will tile it, and a value of 2 will stretch it to the screen resolution.

Tech Tips: How to remove dodgy printer drivers when printer spooler keeps crashing

If the Print Spooler service fails when printing, when Windows starts or it can not be restarted, the usual reason is that one or more printer drivers is defective. If the Print Spooler service is not running, the Printers and Faxes folder will be empty and you can not use it to remove (or add) printers or printer drivers. If you have a Lexmark printer, see special information about Lexmark printer drivers.

It's important to only install printer drivers that are designed and built specifically for the Windows version you have. This is particularly important for Windows XP; many of the CDs and floppy disks distributed with printers (particularly older models) do not have Windows XP drivers - check the printer manufacturer's web site for printer drivers for the version of Windows you have (see Links).

A common cause of printer driver problems is to upgrade to Windows XP from Windows 95, 98 or ME without first removing the printer and the printer drivers.

The steps on this page will remove all printers and printer drivers from the computer. The printing subsystem is then "clean" and ready for printers to be added using printer drivers specifically for the Windows version you have.

If you have drivers for several printer models installed (e.g. on a Print Server computer) it may only be necessary to remove the defective printer drivers. At steps 2, and 7, just delete the entries for the printers or printer drivers you suspect are defective. Unfortunately, the files that comprise the drivers are all in the same folder. Also, the same files may be used by the drivers for several printer models. So, selectively deleting the driver files at step 12 may be difficult or impossible. With Windows 2000 and XP, in most cases, deleting the registry entries for the drivers (step 7) will be sufficient, so you may want to skip steps 10 through 12 if you have multiple printer models and don't want to re-install all of them.

Check in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs; if there is an entry relating to one of the printers, select it, then click Change/Remove. Follow the dialog and "uninstall all" or "remove all" as appropriate. Some "printer software" have programs that show up here and it will be a good idea to remove those before going any further.

If the Print Spooler service is operational:

Open the Printers (Printers and Faxes on Windows XP) folder
delete all of the printers
click File, Server Properties
select the Drivers tab
for each entry:
1. select the entry
2. click Remove

Usually, this will do a pretty good job of cleaning out drivers with Windows 2000 and later (not so with Windows NT 4).

If the Print Spooler service is not operational, or you want to make certain there are no printer driver remnants, either follow the instructions below or use cleanspl.exe from the Windows 2000, XP or 2003 Resource Kit (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9d467a69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&DisplayLang=en). cleanspl.exe from the Windows 2003 Resource Kit tools will work on Windows XP.

Some information about cleanspl.exe:

cleanspl.exe does a very thorough job of cleaning up the print spooler stuff, but it does not remove the spooler service dependency on the Lexmark service (see special information about Lexmark printer drivers).
You can use it to clean up the spooler stuff on another computer (i.e. remotely).
When you run it, it asks you if you want to remove some things that are actually delivered (and installed by default) with Windows. In most cases, you should answer No to the corresponding prompts (you don't want to remove the Standard TCP/IP Port or the BJ Language Monitor).

Here's how to clean up the print spooler stuff if cleanspl.exe is not available or you prefer to do things manually.

Warning! be very careful using regedit - if you delete the wrong things, you may render your computer inoperative!

open regedit (e.g. click Start, key regedit and press Enter)
navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers

under this key, there will be the keys Version-2 and Version-3 (one or the other of these may be absent - not a problem)

the sub-keys under these contain the printer driver configuration information

delete all the sub-keys inside Version-2 and Version-3, but not these keys themselves

The Microsoft Knowledgebase article at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;312052 lists some other registry entries to delete, but this is not usually necessary.

open a Command Prompt window
key the commands
net stop spooler
net start spooler
open Windows Explorer
navigate to %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\ and delete any files there. By default, this is where the print spooler stores print files.
navigate to %systemroot%\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86 (%systemroot% is usually Windows, but it might be winnt or something else; this is set when the OS is installed).
inside w32x86, there will be folders with the names 2 and 3 (one or more of these may be absent - not a problem)
delete all of the files and sub-folders in each of the 2 and 3 folders, but not the folders themselves
inside w32x86, there may be other folders with names starting with "hewlett_packard", "hphp" or something else; delete these folders also
restart the print spooler (see steps 8 and 9 above)

At this point, the system should be pretty well back to the way it was before any printers were installed.

Some would suggest restarting Windows at this point, but with Windows 2000 and later, this does not seem to be required.

If you have a Lexmark printer, these additional steps may be necessary (thanks to Robert Orleth [MSFT] for providing this information). The Lexmark printer installation process sometimes installs a service that makes the print spooler service dependent on itself. If there is a problem with Lexmark service or a Lexmark printer driver (or you removed it using the steps above), the print spooler service may not start (see also http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324757). The steps below make the print spooler service only dependent on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service (RPCSS), which is normal. The print spooler service dependencies are stored in the registry at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler\DependOnService

The sc config command at step 16 resets the value of that entry.

Open a Command Prompt window
key the command
sc config spooler depend= RPCSS
(note the space after the = but not before)
restart the print spooler (see steps 8 and 9 above)

Aside from being a fantastic drink, vodka has many uses which you may not have known about. Since vodka is one of the world's most popular drinks, many of us have a bottle handy in the home. And since its typically filtered and pure, it makes a handy liquid to have around.

Here are a few uses:

To remove a bandage painlessly, saturate the bandage with vodka. The solvent dissolves adhesive
To clean the caulking around bathtubs and showers, fill a trigger-spray bottle with vodka, spray the caulking, let set five minutes and wash clean. The alcohol in the vodka kills mold and mildew.
Clean jewelry. Soak the jewelry in vodka for five minutes, then rinse, and dry.
Clean lipstick from clothing. Rub the stain with vodka, then throw into your regular wash.
Remove the glue left behind by a bumper sticker. Rub the glue with a soft, clean cloth soaked with vodka
Prolong the life of razors by filling a cup with vodka and letting your safety razor blade soak in the alcohol after shaving. The vodka disinfects the blade and prevents rusting.
Spray vodka on vomit stains, scrub with a brush, then blot dry.
Using a cotton ball, apply vodka to your face as an astringent to cleanse the skin and tighten pores.
Add a jigger of vodka to a 12-ounce bottle of shampoo. The alcohol cleanses the scalp, removes toxins from hair, and stimulates the growth of healthy hair.
Fill a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle and spray bees or wasps to kill them.

Pour one-half cup vodka and one-half cup water in a Ziplock freezer bag and freeze for a slushy, refreshable ice pack for aches, pain or black eyes.
Fill a clean, used mayonnaise jar with freshly packed lavender flowers, fill the jar with vodka, seal the lid tightly and set in the sun for three days. Strain liquid through a coffee filter, then apply the tincture to aches and pains.
To relieve a fever, use a washcloth to rub vodka on your chest and back as a liniment.
To cure foot odor, wash your feet with vodka.
vodka will disinfect and alleviate a jellyfish sting.
Pour vodka over an area affected with poison ivy to remove the urushiol oil from your skin.
Swish a shot of vodka over an aching tooth. Allow your gums to absorb some of the alcohol to numb the pain.
Soothe a sore throat. Add a tablespoon of vodka to glass of warm water and gargle. The alcohol helps numb the sore throat.

Tech Tips: Outlook 2007 Offline Address Book not showing the latest records

I don't know about you but I have this problem where Outlook 2007 stopped getting the latest entries.

Scenarios:

Webmail OWA is able to check and resolved the new names and email (which means AD is working just fine)

Re-downloading the address book via Outlook > Tools > Send and Receive > Download Address Book didn't work

Solutions: (in Windows Vista)

Close the Outlook
Go root drive C:\Users\Your_Login_Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook and delete all the .oab files (back them up if you want
Restart Outlook and voila, you'll see the latest records!

Tech Tips: My way of restoring Regedit, Task Manager, Search functions disabled by nasty virus/trojan

There have been quite of a number of computers in the organization where the Registry edit, Task Manager and even Search function got disabled by a nasy trojan or virus which I'm still unable to tell due to the stupid McAfee AV is not picking up any detection so far...

Since I can't tell which variant of trojan/virus struck the computers, i relied on my own methods after studying methods use by various netizens, here i compiled the steps in search for a cleaner systems.

1. Scan your system for virus/trojan

In this case, I opted for the online scan due to the antivirus installed on those machines are not detecting anything. I chose Pandasoft Free Online ActiveScan from http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/solutions/activescan/ You're need to register a FREE account in order to clean the detected malware (low risk cookies cannot be disinfected by using the free account but that's OK) Disinfect whatever that got detected by Pandasoft.

2. Scan the processes running on the system

This is rather technical and meant for those who knows what they're doing only. Download Hijack This (FREE) from http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis or AnVir Task Manager Pro (20-Days trial) http://www.anvir.com/products.htm and carefully scrutinize and delete/quarantine the high risk processes off your system (AnVir Task Manager Pro can identify which of those consider high risk)

3. Bringing Regedit, Task Manager, Msconfig and etc Back

There are a few ways to do it actually, some running VB script or a cracked regedit.exe but the easiest one would be running this little app RRT With Removable Media Malware from http://en.sergiwa.com/modules/mydownloads/ Although it's not a freeware but it allows the features to bring back all the blocked functions mentioned here.

Lesser vehicles on the road, after gasoline hitting RM2.70 per litre

Could it be co-incidental, people's over reaction or the weekend is around the corner? It's very apparent that there were lesser vehicles on the road for the past two days during rush hour along one of the busiest roads in Klang Valley, Jalan Tun Razak that is.

All these while, vehicles coming from Sg Besi, Seremban highway will packed Jalan Tun Razak every evening after work without fail but yesterday was a totally different story altogether, I have never seen that stretch leading to the city that empty before... and driving on the other direction heading Sg. Besi was a breeze too.

Coming to work this morning was faster than ever too, whizzing through at 80, 90 or even 100km/h on the usual bumper to bumper stretch.

Whatever happen now could be just the aftershocks of the 4th of June announcement and gradually the roads will be filled with cars again because we all know that most Malaysians are just too dependent on their cars, not because they want to but due to the crappy public transport infrastructures that we have over here.

Only time can tell for how long the streets will remain like this...

Office Troubleshooting: Outlook 2003 does not print email headers

SYMPTOMS
When you try to print an e-mail message by using either Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook Express, the message header information does not print. This problem only occurs when Windows Internet Explorer 7 is installed. Note This problem may also occur in earlier versions of Office Outlook. However, this problem does not occur in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

CAUSE
This problem occurs when the "Shrink to Fit" feature is enabled, and the size of the message is reduced in order to fit on the printed page. When this occurs, the message header is not printed.

RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows Internet Explorer 7 service pack that contains this hotfix.To resolve this problem, submit a request to Microsoft Online Customer Services to obtain the hotfix. Office Troubleshooting: Word appears to hang when you open some docs

Word appears to hang when you open some (but not all) documents - documents take a long time to open

Consider the following scenario: You replace an existing file server with a new one. During the testing phase, both the new server and the old server are online. Everything works great. During the operational phase, you take the old server offline. Suddenly, users complain that Word hangs on their client computers when they open some--but not all--documents from shared network locations or from their local drives. What happened?

Every Word document has an attached template. If that template is missing, Windows XP will try to locate the missing template multiple times. If the missing template was located on the old file server that has been taken offline, Windows XP won't be able to find the template. The process of locating a missing template may cause a Word document to take longer than expected to open. Word will appear to hang. If you wait long enough, however, the document will open eventually. It will take longer to open the document when you are connected to the network compared to when you are disconnected from the network.

If Word appears to hang because a document is taking a long time to open, you can view the attached template for the affected document using the following steps.

Word 2007
1) Be sure the affected document has been copied to the client computer. Disconnect the client computer from the network. Open the document.
2) Click the Office button and click Word Options to open the Word Options dialog.
3) In the Add-Ins options choose Templates in the Manage list and click Go. The Templates and Add-ins dialog is displayed.
4) The path and file name to the attached template is displayed in the Document template field.

Word 2003 and earlier versions
1) Be sure the affected document has been copied to the client computer. Disconnect the client computer from the network. Open the document.
2) From the Tools menu choose Templates and Add-Ins. The Templates and Add-ins dialog is displayed.
3) The path and file name to the attached template is displayed in the Document template field. The value in the Document template field might look something like "\\old_server_name\old_path\template_name.dot".

NOTE: If the attached template is Normal.dotm (for Word 2007) or Normal.dot (for Word 2003 and earlier versions)--and the template is located in the default location in the user profile on the client computer--the field will simply display "Normal". If this is the case, then something else is wrong; it's not an attached template issue.

What can you do?

You could bring the old file server with the old template files back online so that the Windows XP client computers can find them. This is usually not an option and it would require you to maintain an old file server into the future.

Fortunately, Microsoft Knowledge Base article 830561 “Documents that have attached templates take a long time to open in Word 2002 and in Word 2003” at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;830561 includes information about workarounds that you can use.

In my experience, the favorite workaround in KB 830561 among IT professionals appears to be “Method 2: Use a custom Visual Basic Application to change the attached template to the global template (Normal) when a new document is opened.” This is because changing the attached template to be the Normal template will prevent the problem from happening again in the future. However, you need to ask the affected users first how they are using Word, because you might be permanently breaking an important relationship between the document and its attached template.

If the "Automatically update document styles" option is selected in the Templates and Add-ins dialog for an affected document, this means that the user who authored the document expects to be able to change styles in the attached template and then have those modifications affect the styles in the document when the document is opened.

No matter which workaround you choose to use from Knowledge Base article 830561, be sure that the affected documents are being programmatically opened on a computer that has been disconnected from the network to make the process complete more quickly.

If you don’t want to use a custom Visual Basic program to resolve the attached templates issue, you can leverage Word's attached template discovery logic to attach a new template to an affected document. You can do this by copying the existing template files from the old file server (or the new file server, for that matter) to specific locations on the client computer. Alternatively, you can create new template files using the same names as the missing templates and then copy those new template files to specific locations on the client computer. Word will attach the appropriately named template file to an affected document when the document is opened. Once again, be sure that the affected document has been copied to the client computer and disconnect the client computer from the network in order to speed things up.

Word will look for the missing templates in the following locations on the client computer in the following order.
Office 2003 on Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP\
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\

Office 2007 on Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP\

A series of unfortunate events

A supposed business trip to Busan, Korea on Sunday morning ended up me hanging around at KLIA for a few hours because of an overbooked flight to HK. Check-in counter was still open and being put into the waiting list didn't help much either. The sympathetic counter manager requested me to see her after the flight to see what can be done.

Arriving at the ticketing office on the 3rd floor 2hrs++ later, she managed to book and confirm a flight departing to HKIA the same time next morning so I left feeling better that my superior won't taruh me kau kau (of course still kena taruh a bit after telling him).

Gone home and do what I was suppose to do, meeting up a pair friends from Penang and sending my car for a wash. Getting nervous of shit might happen again, so being a little cautious and I checked in my flight online and chosen one of the only 4 seats left out of the hundreds.

Things went the way it should the next morning and finally I touched down at HKIA to connect my flight to Busan. I ran towards the transfer counter and to my surprise, they said there's no flight from HK to Busan today, I was in daze and wondering how could this be? I referred back to my itinerary and then furiously thinking how could that stupid counter manager booked me for a flight where the connecting flight to my final destination is two days away, what the fuck am I gonna do for two days in HK, this is a fucking business trip alright, not a multiple cities stop-over vacation.

What is done is done, now I'm in the middle of nowhere (not exactly no where la), back to reality, I got my passport stamped (yeahhh... finally been to HK) and continue with my mission. If you have watched Amazing race (I'm sure you have la otherwise you won't be reading my blog because a country without TV would not have internet access also) Running around HKIA (mind you, it's one of the biggest airport & busiest in Asia) like the desperate Amzing Race contestants looking for the earliest possible flight to their destinations.

After a luggage pulling marathon, restless standing at various airline counters, Cathay staff managed to find, book & confirm me an alternative which was to touch down at Incheon aiport at Seoul and departing from Seoul to Busan the next morning at 9am (Better than nothing, IMHO)

Finally got to the Busan office and life gone back to normal. Meeting up some of the staff for the first time and it was a public holiday the next day, so they took me out (there I was preparing to get to passed out, I've been warned that this would happen) Having eaten the freshest Sashimi ever in my life (mind you, the fish head & mouth was still moving where only the bones was left intact with the head) Also consumed various type of UMOs (Unidentified Marine Objects) that night and of course not forgetting the constant pouring of Shoju... OK, the night went by, I got back to the hotel in semi-conscious state and I shot that photo the next morning:

Oh... no no, this is not the end yet, bare with me I know this is a little longer than my usual post but since there's nothing much I can do now I might as well make use of free time that I have...

Just a couple of hours ago, I've finished what I've came here for... so I packed my bag and say goodbye to the local staff here and a colleague of mine decided to send me back since I couldn't get myself a cab (it was raining heavily and the taxi booking line all jammed up).

He dropped me off and that was my nightmare started, OMFG... I couldn't find my hotel key card (you must be thinking, duh... what the hell, get the hotel to issue me a new one) Yeah sure, that was the least that I was worrying about.... because I couldn't even locate my wallet which I have my Malaysian IC, Amex Corp. Card, My own credit card, and the USD300 dollars (RM1,039) in there!!!

Called up the office and they said there's nothing there, didn't know what to do except to get a new key card from the hotel and start logging on to look for emergency contact numbers to report my lost cards. To my surprise, the front desk exec asked me for my name and telling me that someone found my wallet and left her with his name and contact number, MY GOODNESS! (I'm thinking... I must've done a lot of good deeds all these while... :)

According to her, the person (Mr. Kang) will be returning to Busan later this evening and retrn the wallet, what a good honest Samaritan. Well, the only thing besides blogging that I can do right now and keep my fingers crossed and it remains to be seen whether the cash still intact or not. I have the feeling he is the first person to came across my wallet, otherwise, bye-bye USD300 and hello bread and instant noodles for breakfast-lunch-dinner-&-supper!

I can't believe that I can actually blog in Korean interface too.... and this final incident is actually giving me the reason to post to my otherwise long-forgotten blog.

UPDATE: I met up with Mr. Kang the next afternoon and I got my wallet back with all the money, receipts, credit cards still intact, I was grateful and offered him a reward but he kindly turned it down. Giving out money is not really a Korean or Japanese to express your gratitude so I bought him a carton of spirits and some juices to show my appreciation.

An idle Tuesday suddenly turned into an exciting and photo shooting spree... It all happened when the Frenchman aka The Spiderman was climbing up to Level 59 of Petronas Twin Towers, Tower 2 to be exact, not via the staircase but from the outside! Check the photos and videos we managed to capture.

Don't feel sick by what you're seeing, it's pretty common in those countries where you don't see stray dogs and cats on the streets, and people eating grasshopper, scorpion, maggots and lots of other crap, snakes and terrapin are merely food for them as well. So, there I was in Guangzhou, China. A friend decided to bring me out for something which it's rather hard to find in Malaysia, although terrapin soup is easily available in KL.

Rather sickening when I first saw the raw slices of snake meat on the plates and not forgetting the freshly chopped terrapin posing on the plate as well (which reminds me of the Resident Evil movie where the guy got sliced by the laser defense system into cubes, human meat cubes) :P

I had it in steamboat style with the snake bones & skins boiling in the wok and cooking them to boiling points, then throw in chopped terrapin and follow by dipping the pieces of snake meat for a couple of seconds before putting the sweet little juicy piece of meat into my mouth, yummyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!

Fear factor Malaysia Beware, here I come!!!

Lying on bed with my eyes wide open and I still can't believe that my best Friend, K_Gi a.k.a See Kwang is married... and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is feeling that way...

It all happened on 14th of May 2006 where my buddy has gotten himself tied down by this lovely woman named Michelle... and from this day onwards he's nothing but a responsible husband (which I certainly hope he'll be one), gone are the days of hardcore clubbing, hanging out at mamak talking cock, killing time in shopping malls while eyes glued to chics... These all ain't happening now and it's all because you, farker left us here and got married in Australia!!!

Anyway, you're the first among all of us that gone into husband-hood, must be proud of it eh? Do let us know how different is formarried life compares to life that you used to have, and here I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you and also from behalf of our brothers.
